| Ugh, sorry to anyone who reads this, or checks to see if I actually update. I've been really busy this past semester, neglecting crocheting and cleaning and even my video game playing in favor of trying to graduate, heh. But, I did (supposedly, still haven't gotten a diploma or anything) and then went on vacation. I made a new pattern, and forgot to take a picture of the finished object before giving it away, bleh. So now I don't know whether to clean it up and post it, or make another to take a picture of then post the pattern. I'm not really sure if I need an amigurumi pig floating around though, I'm not a big fan of pigs (which is why I only made it for a gift). I don't dislike them or anything, there's just tons more stuff I'd rather make. Plus I need to get a job (or career, rather) and who knows how much time that will take up. On a lighter note, I got a dressform for my graduation and some sewing books from my husband for my birthday (which was on the fourth). Too many hobbies, too little time. I guess I just like to make stuff :) |
Sorry for the very long hiatus. Winter break ended up not being very much fun, got really sick Christmas eve and spent the rest of the month feeling something awful. I still haven't quite shook it off, sinuses are still being annoying. School has started back up, and my application for graduation has been processed. Assuming I don't royally screw up this semester I should be graduating in May!
In more exciting and important-to-whoever-may-be-reading-this news, I came up with two more patterns. Both are hats, both have puffs. One is nice and simple, lots of small puffs making a pretty all over pattern. The other is it's bigger sibling, large squishy puffs which stand out, literally and figuratively.

So today marks the final day of exams for me, which means that now is officially Christmas vacation! Whoo-hoo! And if that wasn't good enough, I applied for graduation today, hopefully will be on my way to a respectable job in May of 08'.
Hopefully now that exams and giant final projects aren't hanging over my head I'll be able to make some more stuff, and hopefully crank out some new patterns. Unfortunately I've promised other people to make stuff for them, so I'll have to finish that stuff first. Is it just me or is it not fun to make something you feel obligated to? It seems all neat and fun at the time, then the realization that there are people who are just waiting for you to finish, and it just saps all the excitement out. Not complaining though, cause I'm on VACATION! Whoo! |
| So I finally finished the cabled hat, go check it out in the pattern section! The main reason I haven't done much lately is because of this little girl. She was really sick when we first adopted her, but is much much crazier and kitteny now. A veritable ball of energy. Her name is Rogue (after the X-men) and she's crying to be played with right now, so I better go. |
I finally took pictures of a bunch of stuff and updated the gallery. Look at all the scarves and hats! Hopefully I'll be able to unload some of these at the craft show, I'm not a hat/scarf person. The only hat I've made that I've worn is the awesome puffy slouchy hat pattern from here.
No new patterns in the works right now, hopefully inspiration will strike soon though :) |
